I went to San Diego, CA over the weekend and I wanted to share some of the photos I took! We stayed at Paradise Point Hotel and Resort for 3 days.

Friday

Friday around noon and stopped by In-N-Out for dinner on our way to the resort. That night we went to Belmont Park that night around 8:30PM-11:00PM. Belmont Park is a small carnival style amusement park that you can pay per ride ($6-$9) or pay $34 for unlimited rides. This was so fun because no one was there so we would ride the same rides over and over again!

Saturday

Saturday morning started out with paddle-boarding for 1 hour. This was such a great workout and we took some amazing photos! Quick outfit change and we went golfing at Sycuan Golf Course-Oak Glen. It was a very active morning!

We went back and forth to and from the pool and kept eating all day long. We stopped by a famous taco restaurant called Oscar’s. I highly recommend the shrimp or surf and turf! We barbecued that night for dinner and went to bed as happy, food coma ridden sloths.

Sunday

Check out days are always rushed. We spent the whole morning packing up our weekend back into our bags and coolers, packed up the car and headed for an area to eat brunch! We found ourselves at Olive Cafe. The food was delightful, the coffee was black, and the area was buzzing with kids and a warm summer breeze, just the way I like it. My mom and I shared a breakfast quesadilla that had mushrooms in it which was a pleasant surprise. The food and pastries tasted so fresh and homemade. As a larger party of 6, we sat in 2’s across the side of the cafe. We spent some time taking photos and headed back to the car which was right by a small beachy cove in front of what looked like a school or center for kids. Another photoshoot, obviously. Then we started our cars and started driving home.

This staycation was so peaceful yet active. It was just the right amount of activity to rest ratio. I hope you have just as good of a weekend as I did! Happy summer
