Life After College
The question, "So what are you doing now that you've graduated?" has been ringing in my ears for the last two months now that I have graduated from school. You know, it didn't bother me until my dad asked me this question. All of my friends from high school and church have asked me the inevitable but my dad has never been one to question me or ask me what I was doing.
This got me thinking, so what am I doing? I had a minor panic attack last week for the third time because I didn't know what I was supposed to be doing. I know what I want to be doing and that's YouTube. I will be honest with you and say that I am not making enough a sustainable amount of money through YouTube (yet..). Although I have collaborated with brands and on the outside this "hobby" may give the illusion that I am rolling in dough, the truth is I'm not. I actually have been working two jobs to keep up this lifestyle.
So what am I doing now that I have graduated? Well, I am pursuing my dreams of becoming a YouTube star by working part time at other jobs to compensate for the amount of time spent working on YouTube.
If you're curious about my YouTube channel and what I possibly could post videos on, then click here and you can fulfill your curiosity! My point for this post is to do what you want even if you don't know if this is what you should be doing. Sometimes what we want to do may not be the "right" thing in the eyes of others but it is the "right" thing in our eyes. The fear of other people's judgment has caused many people to stop doing what they love so learn from others and don't let that happen to you.
"Good Luck and Don't F It Up" as RuPaul would say.
